Welcome
Hi everyone, it’s the amazing women in your corner.
Come along as we deep dive into an example of how to live through & apply your brand. Many questions may come to mind when you think about actually starting and living through your brand. Now that you know what you want your brand to be, how do you actually start doing it? Is there a magical thing you do and “boom” now you're that branded person? Unfortunately and fortunately the answer is no. There is not just one or two things you can do for your brand to be complete. Here a real example to show you how to get started living through your brand.

Getting Started
When you’ve established what you want your brand to be.

It’s time to think about how you embody your brand. One of the first tips we will share is the method of asking yourself questions. You should ask yourself three questions. When you ask yourself these questions please add the descriptor that best defines the brand you've chosen and what you hope to accomplish inside the blank.
What would a _____ person be like?
What do I want a ______ person to be like?
What does a ______ person mean to me?
Need an example? Here's one! My brand = Be Gravitational
What would a Gravitational person be like?
What do I want a Gravitational person to be like?
What does a Gravitational person mean to me?
This allows you to answer the questions by understanding holistically what your intent is to become like that or those word(s) you’ve chosen. I know it sound a bit crazy, but there are reasons we want and aspire to be like certain characteristics. Asking yourself these questions help breakdown the action to obtaining it. For example- If you want to be a "kind" person as part of your brand. Ask yourself- what makes a person kind to you? If you want your brand to be with leadership ask yourself, what makes a leader a good role model for you? This allows you to put physical characteristics into actionable actions you can begin to focus on or mimic. Let's look back at our example.
Taking it further - Physical Connection
Example continued: We will answer the questions from above.
Q1: A gravitational person would be someone who has good energy, is inviting, and happy.
Q2: I want a gravitational person to be immensely captivating when they walk into a room.
Q3: A gravitational person to me is someone everyone wants to be around.
Okay, so now let’s take the physical characteristics from these answers to the questions.
In question one the answer was good energy, inviting, and happy. I would ask myself how does some look happy. The answer would be a smile. How would someone be inviting? I would say a smile, friendly, and easy to talk too. What makes a person have good energy? I would answer, happy, confident, and friendly. Brief recap:
Q1: Inviting + happy = smiling person, open face, warm expressions
Continuing this process for the remainder of the questions.
Q2: Captivating others around = walks in with confidence, feels good, and is prepared.
Q3: Everyone wants to be around = kind, friendly, listens to everyone
Do you see how these are common actions that help get an understanding of how I can continue to embody the brand I want. Once you answer your three questions, run through this process and see how many actionable items you can get. Then you will have a list of actions to continue doing daily, practice, and embody moving forward.
Live It
Now you have a concept: here's the fun part to this brand process. Live it, consistency is key. Live these words, goals, and actions everyday. Set goals to be about the word or words you chose. Need an example?
For someone who wants to be more of a people person you can start with reading a book about compassion. For someone who wants to be more knowledgeable, this person can set a goal of learning a new term or action every month. Whatever your words may encompass, live it. Read new books, learn new tools, don't be afraid to switch out Netflix for an educational documentary. Look at your routine and make sure you add an hour a day for your brand words. Before you know it, you will have adjusted to this lifestyle.
Moving forward in your life, start introducing yourself as this person. In your elevator pitch and your presentations you are these characteristics. Your new pitch should be, “Hi I’m NAME, I pride myself on being WORD1, WORD2, and WORD3.” This starts conditioning your fellow coworkers and new contacts to see you in that light. In combination with your consistency to deliver you will absolutely be who you want to be. Most importantly, your brand will be established.
Dedication and Consistency
A lot of this seems so easy, but it takes practice and dedication. You can always be who you want to be. There is no limit too small or too large. Having a brand allows you to hold a presence and an expectation with your coworkers. This can enable opportunities even in your personal world.
